It's such a long story, I shall make it short here. I went for induction on Mon nite-Dr Ang came in ard 10 plus, inserted something into my vagina, damn painful and i bleeded. This was supposed to make my cervix soft & ripe. Throughout the nite I encounter backaches but no contractions, keep on peeing every 1/2hr. No joke, i was not able to sleep thru the severe bkache. Husbands not allowed to stay as i was in normal ward not delivery ward. Finally next morning 7plus, Dr came in and check -1cm dilated only! I was so disappointed,that means it's going to be a long delivery. I was pushed in delivery ward for preparation. I was given laxative,then on drip-glucose + some medication to hasten my contractions. Nvr expect i still hv sai. but im not mobile so they hv to put a pan under my buttocks to poo poo. Wa lau, that is the biggest poo i ever made in my life! And the most painful one.
The medication dropped my bb's heart beat! Nearly in danger! BB cannot take it. Luckily Dr came into the ward in time to spot it.
12.30pm 28th Mar -2cm

2plus - 3cm
4plus - 5cm
Dr said baby's head op position. He tried to turn it ard. My impression was - successful
5plus 7-8cm
6pm - Dr said it's time to deliver, sooner or later.
Whole process take 23 minutes
Dr can feel bb's ear, try to pull it out, unsuccessful. I pushed, with 2 nurses assisting to push my stomach from sides, also cannot push bb's head out. Esp the head is in op position - face turing up. Wa lau! Mon check up, his head is still in good position, turning sideway. then now turn up, Dr did not suceed in turning his head juz now. No choice he used vaccum. That makes me think of Joanne,who is also in the same shoes as me. At least there's hope, she still able to deliver safely.
Imagine no head is seen, the vaccum was inserted into the vagina! Not successful. Then forceps were used-last resort. Finally! BB nearly died! Then my tear was terrible! zip zap everywhere! also right to the rectum. Placenta was stucked. Gynae had to put in his hand to pull it out! Imagine the tear & stitches. I also lost quite an amt of blood. Both bb & i were exhausted after this ordeal.
It's a scary experience, my mum blamed the doc, y he didnt noe my pelvic is too narrow to allow bb to pass thru. I ever asked him this qn on monday. He said studies have been done but results are not uniform. So women who are perceived to be big at pelvic cant push out their bb, and vice versa. He did told me my chance of normal delivery is 70% on mon, with bb head not engaged & cervix not open on mon. Then I asked him did i make a wrong decision to induce? he said then what are the chances that the baby will born healthy overdue? There may be no heart beat after 41 weeks. It was also a judgement call for him that moment. If he pushed me to op table, bb also in danger coz half stuck. If we continue normal delivery, bb might not come out or come out dead. We were so worried when Niichi was delivered that he wouldnt cry. When he hailed a cry we were all relieved! Nghtmare is over!
